panel-dkim-signing stage 2: OpenDKIM removed
test / test (push) Canceled after 0s
The panel's signer is the only one. Gone: the opendkim package and its
configuration, the syslog-relay and opendkim programs, /dev/log and
/run/opendkim, the reload by USR1 through supervisord
(internal/supervisor/supervisor.go), internal/syslogrelay, the port of
OpenDKIM's From: parser (internal/milter/mailparse.go and its probe,
harness and test/upstream scripts), OPENDKIM_SOCKET and OPENDKIM_DIR.
Keys: internal/domain/keys.go (Keys, NewKeys, DKIM_DIR=/data/dkim) keeps
the keys and writes a selector table, /data/dkim/selectors ("<name>
<selector>"), which the signer reads in place of the KeyTable - it reads
no database, as the sender check reads none. The table is written before
the signer serves (EnsureServerSigned moved there from the notifier).
Keys and table 0600, directories 0700, the panel's. The entrypoint copies
/data/opendkim/keys once, as the panel user, into /data/dkim.new renamed
when whole, and stops the start if the copy fails; /data/opendkim is left
for a rollback to 2.7.x.
Sender check: one RFC 5322 address as a mail program reads it, held
against the bindings; the 256-byte refusal and the texts naming OpenDKIM
go. Allowed() folded the domain through strings.ToLower, which makes the
Kelvin sign a "k" - the comparison with OpenDKIM's reading had hidden it;
it folds ASCII only now.
Health: two dkim-signer rows (applications, notifications) in Milter
sockets, opendkim out of the liveness set; the card no longer takes any
row with a note for the spam filter. Texts as in the design commit.
KILL stays in deploy/docker-compose.yml: measured on the test server,
root without it cannot signal a process of another uid - supervisord
stopping the panel, Postfix's master its children. The plan's "only use
was the reload" was wrong; the comment now gives the real uses.
e2e: one signature, the panel's, verified by dkimpy; the /data/dkim modes;
the OpenDKIM log and process checks, testNeverSignedForAnother and the
cited opendkim, libopendkim11 and libmilter1.0.1 go.

audit 6: documents, comments, dead code and staticcheck; the test gaps closed
test / test (push) Canceled after 0s
The last stage of the 2026-10-12 audit; no cut. Doc drift: architecture.md (the sender check in § OpenDKIM, the limit: row's 48 hours, the inbound log and filter-list routes and who may open them, migrations to 0011 and every table, KitPage as production data, Reload configuration as a restore writes, the panel's roles counted), schema-migrations.md (tables and columns since v2), guide.md (a delivery's lines go at the next prune; INBOUND_JOURNAL_MILTER_SOCKET moved to architecture.md's internal list), development.md (the env guard, the deferral the e2e proves, its fixed sleeps), roadmap.md. Comments say what the code does now; TestBaselineIsTheOnlyMigration is TestChainStartsAtTheBaseline; the milter package doc names its three milters. Dead code gone: view.Facts, dmarc HostedSuggestion and ValidateHostedAddress, app UpdateMode (each with the test that alone kept it), the method checks the method-bound routes made dead; Settings.WithResult calls resultFlash. staticcheck 2026.1 in test.yml on both modules, clean: the e2e package builds without its tests now (a test and two constants moved out of non-test files), three findings fixed. The test moved, TestImageBuildPreservesLogrotateMode, had sat in a non-test file and never run; run, it failed on the entrypoint (docker run without a hostname) and now asks with --entrypoint stat. The test gaps no step named, each closed: follow() with mail.log gone past blindMin and made again; CheckRestore with a manifest that is not JSON; the origin check with a port; every /server/ pattern in web.go through server() and in the routes table (it found GET /server/health/fragment missing from the table - guarded, not tested); L9 as the owner decided it on 2026-10-12, the comment on senderSession.Headers and the test passing an h that holds the earlier messages' From:. Plan stage 6 ticked; roadmap audit row done, 81/81. Tested on the test server: go vet + go test of 27 packages, make e2e (all pass, 513 s) on this tree; staticcheck locally on both modules. ci: compile the e2e on every push; test/ out of the build context (audit M20, L33)
test / test (push) Canceled after 0s
- test.yml: after go test, `go vet ./...` and `go test -c -o /dev/null .` in test/e2e - compiled and linked, not run. Not `go test -run xxx` as the plan said: TestMain would still run and bring up the stand. The Go cache now keys on test/e2e/go.sum too. - .dockerignore: test (e2e leftovers in test/e2e/.stage - DKIM keys, sasldb2 - no longer reach the builder; the sink image is built from test/e2e/sink as its own context, so it is unaffected). - development.md (test.yml line), CHANGELOG [Unreleased], audit plan lines ticked, roadmap 3/61. Evidence on the test server for this tree: make e2e (no SELFPOST_E2E_VERSION, so the "e2e" default path) exit 0, including image_stamped_with_version and the logrotate-mode build; in test/e2e go vet ./... and go test -c -o /dev/null . clean; docker build of build/Dockerfile with a file under test/e2e/.stage succeeds. release: stamp the image with the release's version (audit H1)
test / test (push) Canceled after 0s
The e2e gate rebuilt selfpost:e2e through compose.override.yml with its
own VERSION=e2e, and that rebuild is the image release.yml pushed: every
published image printed "e2e", and the backup/restore version check
compared a backup's version with "e2e".
- compose.override.yml: VERSION: ${SELFPOST_E2E_VERSION:-e2e}.
- release.yml: the e2e step gets SELFPOST_E2E_VERSION = the release's
X.Y.Z; a new step before the push checks panel -version and
selfpost-backup -version of selfpost:e2e against it.
- e2e: image_stamped_with_version checks both binaries against
expectedVersion() (the variable, or "e2e" when unset).
- development.md, CHANGELOG [Unreleased], audit plan line ticked,
roadmap 1/61.
Evidence: make e2e on the test server for this tree with
SELFPOST_E2E_VERSION=2.4.2-stamp - exit 0, TestE2E/image_stamped_with_version
PASS, and `docker run --rm --entrypoint <bin> selfpost:e2e -version` prints
2.4.2-stamp for panel and selfpost-backup. GOOS=linux go vet in test/e2e
clean. Published images are left as they are.

panel-redesign: the design contract as guard tests and a design-first CI step
Stage 0, step 2. The guards land before any template is restyled.
Guard tests (guard_*_test.go under internal/web) read their rules from the
accepted mockups instead of copying them - the Bulma subset and WIDTH_OK
from check.py, the shell's classes from build.py, the stylesheet from
theme.css + brand.css, the skeletons from outlines.json:
- TestPanelClassVocabulary, TestTemplatesUseComponents,
TestPanelPageStructure, TestPanelOutlinesMatchMockups,
TestRedesignedPagesLoadOnlyTheKit: hold every page that has left
legacy_pages.txt to its mockup, in source and as rendered.
- TestPanelCSSIsTheMockupStylesheet, TestPanelCSSContract: panel.css is
brand.css + theme.css rule for rule.
- TestOutlinePortMatchesCheckPy: the Go port of outline() agrees with
outlines.json on all 33 screens.
- TestLegacyRatchetMatchesTheEngine, TestVendoredAssetsArePinned,
TestStaticHoldsOnlyTheKnownAssets.
- TestRoutesFollowNavigation: the 2.0 route table, no old path answered,
no template link the router does not serve.
The kit tests are skipped while legacy_pages.txt lists @kit and the route
test while it lists @routes; both were run with the entry removed and fail
where expected (no kit yet, old route table).
.github/scripts/design-first.sh, run per commit in test.yml: a commit that
touches the mockups or a guard touches nothing else under internal/web;
legacy_pages.txt only shrinks; a changed template is not, whitespace aside,
any template from history. Exercised on a scratch clone for each case.
Plan: Enforcement and Against resurrected pages describe the guards as
built (the ratchet is a file beside the guards, not a list inside them).
Roadmap 7/27.

release: 1.9.5: GHCR release fix: keep per-arch images, sweep orphaned versions (CI only)
test / test (push) Canceled after 0s
CI-only cut. The release workflow deleted the X.Y.Z-amd64 / X.Y.Z-arm64
package versions after the manifest merge; those versions are the images the
X.Y.Z manifest points at, so pulling 1.3.0 failed with a missing manifest.
No product code changes.
Fixed:
- release.yml: the per-arch tags stay in GHCR. GHCR cannot drop a tag
without deleting the image behind it.
- release.yml: the merge job now removes only untagged package versions
that no tagged manifest references (leftovers of publishing a version
again); any failed lookup aborts the step before anything is deleted.
- development.md release description and version table, image pin 1.9.5
in compose, README, guide.
Full detail: CHANGELOG.md (1.9.5).
